他表示，金融體系的穩定應是美聯儲的首要任務，並指出摩根大通等銀行是經濟運轉的關鍵樞紐，每天處理數萬億美元資金流。"它們彼此相互影響，一家出現問題，可能會傳導至其他機構，"
巴菲特週二在接受 CNBC 采訪時表示。在近期信貸市場一系列爆雷事件引發對銀行及私人信貸基金資產負債表風險的擔憂後，投資者情緒已受到衝擊。巴菲特表示，一旦市場恐慌蔓延，許多投資者可能會迅速撤離。
