ChainCatcher 消息，据英國《金融時報》報導，為在伊朗戰爭期間支撐本國經濟和貨幣，外國央行已將其持有的美國國債降至 2012 年以來的最低水平。
自 2 月 25 日以來，官方機構在紐約聯邦儲備銀行托管的國債價值已下降 820 億美元。一些中央銀行曾干預外匯市場以支撐本國貨幣。此類干預通常涉及拋售美元以應對危機。自 2 月 27 日以來，僅土耳其央行就已出售了價值 220 億美元的外國政府債券。
分析指出，供應衝擊導致全球央行面臨巨大壓力。
